About Magnesium Chloride

Radio Interview with Dr. Mark Sircus, Ac, OMD.

Magnesium is very important to your body for many things including,  Detoxifying the body, improving athletic performance, cell wall integrity, producing and transporting energy through ATP, regulating body temperature, synthesising protein, transmitting nerve signals to the brain, relaxing muscles and blood vessels, manufacturing bones and teeth, detoxifying heavy metals including mercury, neutralising acid in the blood from poor diet and chemical toxicity, balancing cholesterol levels, creating neurotransmitters such as serotonin.
It is also known to relieve anger, anxiety, muscle cramps, emotional stress, restlessness, hyperactivity, difficulty sleeping, chronic headaches, migraines and convulsions.

Magnesium is easily removed from the body buy alcohol, cigarettes, processed foods including white bread, white sugar, white rice. Tea, coffee, soft drink, take away food and physical activity also contribute in a large way to removing Magnesium from your body.

If magnesium levels are low, the nerves lose control over muscle  activity, respiration and mental processes. Nervous fatigue, tic's and  twitches, tremors, irritability, hypersensitivity, muscle spasms, muscle  cramps, restlessness, anxiety, confusion, disorientation and irregular  heartbeat can all be associated with low magnesium levels.

Transdermal (applied directly to the skin) Magnesium products are an  excellent way of absorbing more magnesium into your body safely and with  no side effects.

Most forms of magnesium taken orally are poorly absorbed by the body.  There is the problem of these causing diarrhea which removes the  Magnesium before your body has a chance to absorb it all. The  transdermal method of taking magnesium chloride is easy, safe and fast  acting. Taken transdemally the magnesium bypasses the digestive system.  Oral forms such as magnesium oxide and others are only absorbed at about  40% and it can take up to a year to raise magnesium to an adequate  level. It only takes a couple of months using transdermal magnesium  chloride.
